For some of our children who require assistance to communicate, augmentative & alternative communication (AAC) devices provide the ability to communicate with others by the use of eye gaze, head pointing or switch control. Eye gaze technology involves the tracking of eye movement to control the screen while head pointing tracks the movement of the head over a desired icon for a specific amount of time. Our team of speech pathologists works diligently with our families to decide what communication device would work best for the children to communicate and build connections.
